Andy Grammer Manchester Concert reviews
Impressed
Verizon Ampitheater in Charlotte, let me slam it first. After attending many concerts in the past, I have been to Walnut Creek in Raleigh before, and I guess I can compare Charlotte to this one. The whole city is horrible, but they would not even allow you to take in a blanket for the lawn, then they would not rent any chairs. They said it was just because of these bands that were here, I think I have seen heavier than this. Don't get me wrong, I have been to a lot of concerts here, and I will probably go back many more just for the bands, but I tell you Charlotte is not the ideal place.
Now for the bands, awesome! I thought Stone Sour was great, best thing next to slipknot! Andy Grammer was refined very good, sound was incredible. The band that blew me away was Avenged Sevenfold, they rocked as good if not better than anyone I have ever seen. I think we have announced to ourselves that they put on the best performance I have ever seen. Sounded amazing and very loud just like we like it, ears rang into the next day.
We were interested in the side bands, Hell yeah, but was a little disappointed. Love Pantera and Mudvayne, but they just didn't have the equipment to sound good, rockin band though, wish they were on the mainstage instead of Halestorm who didn't impress us.
Overall, great event except for Verizon being anal about the lawn. I would recommend to anyone to see this event.
